You’re The Avenue I Use
No matter what work you do...
No matter where you are;
You're a light in this world,
To shine in darkness like a star.
Don't think you're any less
Than a prophet or a preacher;
All Christians have a ministry -
You don't have to be a teacher.
In every occupation known,
And environment you’re in;
Love others with the love of Christ,
And everyday - start again.
This world is full of nonbelievers
In every profession, in every place;
Let Jesus shine through your actions,
And through your smiling face.
Don't compare yourself with others.
Every person is not the same;
No life is less important.
I know all of you by name.
Every task is equally honored,
In every household, and every field;
I need you no matter who you are.
It's My kingdom, you help build.
Many feel they have no gifts
Or haven't received a call from Me;
It’s what you do that makes you feel good...
Now, do you see?
I know who feels they have no purpose.
I know who's reading what I say;
Just turn on your own light,
And you'll make a difference today.
