You're A Light
My child, don't you see?
The devil wants you to stay home;
So you'll keep your light to yourself,
Where you're completely alone.
He doesn't want you out of the house,
Where you brighten someone's day;
He wants no one to see your light
Because they'll find their way.
The spirit of fear grips you,
And keeps you locked inside;
He'd rather you go to heaven,
Than be a light you don't hide.
I've taught you many things.
I gave wisdom on how to live;
Don't keep knowledge to yourself.
What you've learned - give.
You're to light up places you go,
So the lost can be found;
Greater is He that's in you,
Thus, darkness flees when you're around.
Come out, and let your light so shine,
That many are blessed by My love;
Smile, teach, and give them hope...
That's what they're in need of.
