You Choose
Every day when you wake up,
You choose what to wear;
Either clean, durable shoes
Or a dirty, worn-out pair.
Sadly, many choose the old
Instead of putting on the new;
They should throw them away,
But they don't want to.
Your shoes are like your past.
It goes where you go;
You can't look forward
With your head hung low.
Will you take off those shoes -
The ones not fit to last?
You’ve outgrown that pair.
You're so much bigger than your past.
Why choose to live defeated,
And wear what you’ve been through;
Choose to live victoriously.
Then you'll walk in My shoes.
