The Fight
Make this choice:
You won't put up with it anymore;
Get back on your feet,
And fight harder than before.
You've been hit many times.
Knocked down, but not knocked out;
Fighting until your last breath
Is what winning's all about.
How long will you let life hurt you?
Be strong, and stand your ground;
Aren't you tired of all the pain
Every time you turn around?
How many hits will you take
Before enough is enough?
Life is hard, so fight back.
To live, you've got to be tough.
Who's the giant in your corner?
The one who scares you with his size?
Clinch your fists. Don't look down -
Stare straight in his eyes.
Don't be afraid of your giant.
He looks big, but he's not;
Put on the armor of God,
And give him your best shot.
Sometimes, you have to get angry
At the situation you're in;
Sometimes, you have to get tired
Of life beating you again and again.
Your giant is really your teacher.
He tests to see if you'll quit;
To grow, you must learn
To never give up when you're hit.
