Mercy
I'm as a husband with an unfaithful wife.
You come home, and hide what you've done;
Yet I know, and ask what sins you do.
Shamefully, you say "none."
I still love you even though it hurts.
I'm taken for granted because I forgive;
You know the depth of My love for you...
So much, I died so you might live.
There is no husband such as Me.
I love deeper than any man;
You sin against Me, but I'm still here.
I never left, even when you ran.
It is true, My heart aches.
All day long, your sins make Me cry;
My wife refuses to stop her ways.
She doesn't love Me, or want to try.
Don't be afraid of what I'll do.
My Mercy outweighs My Law;
I'm willing and ready to forgive and forget...
Not just one sin, but all.
Simply tell Me your sins, and be sorry.
Turn around, and do them no more;
And if you don't, I'll still stay.
I'll wait patiently as I've before.
Does not love bear all things?
Thus, I endure and suffer long;
I'll still be there when you come home,
When you act like nothing's wrong.
I'm as a husband with an unfaithful wife.
You're afraid to confess what you've done;
But what sin is too much for My Mercy?
I tell you - there is none.
