I Remember Your Sins No More
When you repent of your sins,
I don't remember them anymore;
If I didn't die to remove your past,
Tell Me - what did I die for?
Do you like to remember bad things
That your child has done?
That's why I erase My memory,
Because I love you, My son.
When the devil brings up your past,
And reminds you of a sin;
He hopes you'll condemn yourself,
And think of where you've been.
Don't punish yourself, My child.
You remember, but I do not;
From the moment you repent,
That was when I forgot.
Do you know how much power
Is in the blood I shed for you?
Like a lamb to the slaughter -
I took your place so you wouldn't have to.
You feel bad for your sins,
But only be sorry when you repent;
When I died to express My love -
To forgive and forget is what I meant.
