Be Thankful
Remember those without arms or legs,
The next time you feel low;
Be thankful for the body you have.
You're more blessed than you know.
Remember the blind,
And those who can't hear;
Be thankful for the sight you have,
And the sounds in your ear.
Some are in wheel chairs.
Some can’t read, write, or talk;
Be thankful for the mind you have,
And the ability to walk.
Some have a disease.
Some are on life support;
Be thankful for the health you have,
And that your life is not that short.
Some starve from lack of food;
Homeless in heat or cold;
Be thankful for the home you have.
What's yours - to them - is gold.
Some have no family,
Friends, husband, or wife;
Be thankful for the ones you have;
That you're not alone in life.
Don't take anything for granted
Or the people who love you;
Be thankful for what you have,
And what you can do.
