Be Like A Child
Don't think you know more than a child
Or think you're more mature;
They have a heart I seek after:
Submissive - innocent - pure.
Unaware I'm there,
When they’re playing pretend;
I love when they talk to Me.
I’m their imaginary friend.
In pursuit of discovery
Of things in the world;
There's an eagerness to learn
In every boy and girl.
They will believe what you say.
They don't know the word, doubt;
They have faith in every promise,
Expecting it to come about.
A child comes to their parent
For answers, help, and love;
So, you should tell Me your needs
Or what you're afraid of.
Children may look up to you
Since you're taller - wiser - strong;
But, wish to be like them.
My Kingdom is where they belong.
Their hearts are foreshadows of heaven.
Unexplainable adventure, and fun;
You'll be like a child again
When your next Life has begun.
